I've been thinking for a while now; catching up is hard to do. I've been drinking half the night now; nothing left to pay but dues. It's too late to sing your Hard Luck Stories. Well, I've been driving miles and miles now; slowing down is hard to do. I just need someone to talk to. Wake up sleepy head, it's you. It's too late to sing your Hard Luck Stories. I'm giving it all to you. Well, I've been dreaming for a while now; cracking up is hard to do. Change is something I'll get used to. Nothing left to do but choose. It's too late to sing your Hard Luck Stories. I'm giving it all to you.

I met you at the candy store, we clowned all around at the jewelry store. And every time I see you face, I ...find myself... Thinkin' 'bout the times before; we ride with the tides up and down the shore. And every time I see you face, I...find myself, Floating on Eden. Livin' in a room upstairs, A quiet little place, we forget our cares. And every time I see your face I...find myself... Drivin' in a beat up van, drinkin' 'cause we know we can. And every time I drive that pace, I...find myself... Floating on Eden. Met you at the candy store, we clowned all around at the grocery store. And every time I see your face I...find myself... Playin' up and down the lane, Laughin' to forget the pain. And every time I see that place I...find myself... Floating on Eden.
